I'm just your run of the mill, leftist leaning social worker who believes strongly in social justice and equal access and opportunity for everyone.I was born and raised in Fremont, California (Back when there was actually farm land seperating the commercial districts). I'm the second child of four. I have 3 sisters.Graduated from Irvington High School in 1985.Like most in my town, went to Ohlone right after High School and took my sweet A@$ time to transfer to Cal State Hayward. Graduated in 1992 with a BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in International Studies.Worked full time for my entire school career in Mental Health. After 11 years of working in Mental Health Facilities and as a Patients Rights Advocate, I made the decision to pursue graduate studies.I completed my Master's in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley with an emphasis on Community Mental Health. (Go Bears!!!)I'm happily partnered since 1994 with the love of my life. We have two great little chihuahua's that are polar opposites. One loves people and hates dogs and the other hates people and loves dogs. I think they are both perfect....
