My name is Karen. My home is in the southern USA....I live at the base of the Cumberland Plateau on a 130 acre farm. For the last 25 years, I have worked as a registered nurse...currently, I work in Chattanooga, TN in the area of labor/delivery. Jerry and I have been married for over 20 years. We attend a Baptist church and are both born-again Christians. My oldest son lives with his wife Michelle and their family in Auburn, AL. My youngest son Jay is now attending Auburn University working on a degree in Agricultural Education. My only daughter, Hayley, was killed at the age of 20 in an automobile accident in Nov. 2001. You will see her photo posted here on my slideshow................................................... ....... I have had the opportunity to travel outside the US to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland twice. Had the opportunity to travel to Honduras in 1998 on a medical/dental mission trip. Also, we traveled last year to Costa Rica to the Caribbean side. We are hoping to someday visit Scotland, where my family originally immigrated from, by way of Ireland first. My family was originally from Scotland, migrated to Ireland, and then to America. My interests in geneaology has sparked my interest in Ireland and Scotland. My dad did a lot of the research for me which has helped in finding out about my ancestors.................................................
