J.DOE Got Nothin But Classic For Ya

FROM SUNDOWN TO SUN-UP/MY ONLY MISSION’S TO COME UP.” J.DOE- ON DIS GRIND.... They say you can’t stop a movement; and J. DOE is a force to be reckoned with. To say he is a threat across the board is an understatement, because he’s much more than that. He’s like a breath of fresh air in the stale environment that has become hip-hop. So to call him a threat to the game would be misleading, because he’s a gift. Something the music game should embrace rather than be intimidated by. An individual who has the capability to bring substance to those of us who expect something more than what we hear when we turn on the radio. J.DOE’s music speaks volumes. I believe there is more talent and determination behind the scenes and underground than what is brought to light and what we, as music fanatics, have become accustomed to today. Fresh at the age of sixteen, J.DOE knew music was his passion. Now with ten years under his belt, he’s like a nomad to the rap game-he’s all over the place leaving no stone unturned as he single-handedly unravels anything we have ever known about rap & hip-hop. He introduces us to a new era & genre of music whose arrival has been long overdue. Let’s be honest, the game is at a standstill; it’s stagnant. Everyone wants to be the next king or rebirth, or the ever popular “what the game’s been missing.” No offense, but some of these new arrivals can STAY missing because they’re not contributing anything new or worthy of anybody’s time. J.DOE on the other hand, he’s what the game’s been CRAVING! Let me put it to you like this; if the rap game were an ocean ready to swallow up the future of hip-hop as we know it, than J.DOE is our S.O.S. It’s easy to understand why J.DOE hasn’t received the recognition or exposure that he deserves, because people fear what they don’t know, and J.DOE is unlike anything you or I have ever seen or heard before. If half of these industry execs spent as much time searching for talent as they do selfishly trying to accumulate millions of dollars for themselves, J.DOE would be snatched up in a heartbeat. So due to the unfortunate oversight of peers and connects in ATL, J.DOE has decided to move out of his beloved hometown and head to the great gunshape state of Florida with plans to dominate in the up and coming southern market. Fortunately, I have gotten to know J.DOE on a personal level, and who he is as a person, far surpasses the talent that is the embodiment of his creation. That is what his appeal is. J.DOE holds true to a truth that many people lack these days; realness. This man would give the shirt off his back and the last dollar in his pocket if he knew the next person could do more with it than him. That’s a quality that you don’t find too often these days, especially in the industry. Now that may sound like I’m speaking on a bias, but friend or not, this guy has the ability to make heads turn and ears open up & listen. I can’t tell you how many conversations I’ve had with him and within 10-15 minutes of speaking, he’s knocked out another banger, in that short period of time. Now how many people do you know can do that, and have the authenticity and delivery of the beat be worth something? His production value is ridiculous and his lyrical delivery is phenomenal. Every beat he masters, every mic he blesses- anything he affiliates himself with will turn to SOLD. Forget gold-gold doesn’t even hold any value to what J.DOE‘s worth as an artist & a producer are. J.DOE always compares himself musically to wine, he only gets better with age. If I could predict the future, I foresee J.DOE becoming a vintage producer & artist; a couture commodity to rap & hip-hop. Now I know it’s rare to hear the word “couture” used in reference to music, but think about it. With the prestige and ingenuity that J.DOE produces with, artists and execs will be demanding beats he created from his early days, referencing the couture homage like they do in fashion, and bringing back a legacy that was once, and still is, a legend. Yeah.....it’s that serious. J.DOE says in his emotionally-driven track “Wait”- “None of yall can really try to fathom where I’m from/you can’t see what I see/I see in 3-D/No....not even close/just way beneath me.” Enough said. No one is really seeing J.DOE at this point. He always says “I’ll let the music speak for itself. If you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself.” So it’s no wonder he’s taken to both producing and performing because it’s hard to grasp a genius’ mindscape, and believe me, J.DOE’s is untouchable. Like the infamous Bun B says “Real recognizes Real” and your boy J.DOE, is about as official as it gets. Like I said earlier, you can’t stop a movement, and J.DOE is & will continue to become, a legend- a household name & face as common as President Washington on the dollar bill. So do your research, because the best kept secret out of Georgia, isn’t about to be a secret anymore. Remember the Name. Remember the Face. J.DOE Brace yourselves...You’ve been warned.
