Kitsap- Gig Harbor Learning Circle

A group for parents of children of all ages to come together, learn, play and build community together. Though the founders of the group are homeschooling parents, we welcome anyone to come and check us out.We meet twice a week. One day is a free play day and all the kids just have a good time and get to know one another while the parents talk and enjoy some company. The other day is "learning day" and a few simple learning activities will be planned. The kids participate based on their ability to do so. This will vary from story time, to music time, to a craft etc. This is a co-op so parents will take turns leading. We also will plan some of these days as trips- to the Zoo, to museums etc. The learning will not be heavily structured so that all of the kids can learn and explore in their own way.The group leaders are Christians and plan on incorporating some faith-based teaching, however families of all faiths and beliefs are welcome to come out and enjoy community together. We welcome diversity here.When we say all ages welcome- we mean it! We feel that everyone has something to share and each age group, from newborn on up has something to learn from/ teach to the other age groups.
