POC......Also known as PEOPLE OF CURE founded in 2005 by Henry Ooi, a man with less words to describe, known as a party animal of the 90's.Starting with his love in music as vocalist in a punkrock band 'ACID RAIN' back in early 90's had moved him dramatically to the rave scenes as one of a pioneer raver in the city. At that time, club such as 'the Underground' where 'Drum n Bass' and 'Break Beats' was playing, inspired by 'Goddie' and local group and DJs such as 'the DiscoMafia' and 'MC Nicky C', was where he was raving at the early days.Then by early mid 90's, that's when Henry wanted it to be BIG! Why BIG? 'Because we can!' said Henry. With friends, James and MIL, the name 'EUPHORIA' was formed and rocked the city with raves at the Piramids, Heaven with 'Nick Peacock' (UK), The Arena with DJ LOVE (Mal & Russia), and the first introductions of rave to the north regions, with total of six local DJs blasted it till sunrise at a beach 'the Lost Paradise'. The great energy pulled the crowds together and with help from other organisers at that time, the city was rocked with few more great partys before big clubs hit town and changed rave to commercial scenes. Till now, the man always say " we used to count ravers by our fingers and those were the best time ever!'After many years of commercial raves with friends and world DJs. The dream hit the man again! And there's when POC formed. It all started in a small underground joint called 'CURE' where great beautiful people hangs out every after party. With resident DJs like Junior Garces, Funko Munky and Unn, the POC. CURE was rocking from dust till dawn every weekend. Sometime joining with almost other 11 local DJs a night, lining up playing back to back, POC bringing the music to the new renaissance.Let the saga begin with the oldest DJ, which is Junior Garces. He's been around the entertainment at least 10 years. He started playing house back then where more vocals and less progressive. Now he continues he's journey thru elctro house and house trax.Secondly introducing Funkomunky from the north side,bringing down he's beating percussion sounds. Been on it at least a year and a half. He hits the decks non stop rocking the floor all night. Tribal is he's biggest influence. Unn also from the north side, bringing you with he's proggy trax. He will end you with his up beat sounds, stomping hard music. He started just a year back by learning it in just 2 weeks. Now...how did they end up together? Everytime there's an after party, the three of them will be playing thru out the sunrise. Junior Garces will be chilling out the crowd then Funkomunky end by Unn. Now three of them are formed together as POC under Playback & Teknicianz. So to all yall out there!!!! Be aware POC is gonna hit them decks right before you even know it...............PEACE.
