The Gen

About Me

Simply put, The Gen are three lads who took the ever popular decision to spend
much of their spare time stuck in a room together sweating and screaming
over being young and unlucky in love. Almost nine years later
they emerged slightly (very slightly) more mature but definitly better
crafted as an intensely determined bunch of guys desperate for their
shot and even more eager to laugh all the way there.
Myspace wasn't to be launched for a good four years so doing what
they do best, they grabbed their instruments and played some memorable gigs.
Described by the drunk lady down the pub as 'that crap band from years ago'
hardly does them justice and they would more readily be remembered
as a jaunty egg race between The Xcerts, Biffy Clyro, The Wombats, Sum 41
and everyones favorite Shayne Ward. In this race however everyone
is a winner and all contestants are presented a pint for taking part!
What a nice gesture. What a strange thought.
The brief list of achievements accumulated by the guys include local
radio play, local newspaper media attention where one newspaper rightly noted-
'If you want to get a party of to a great start, your best bet is probably The Gen!'
In addition they have been privelaged to share stages with such acts as
Twin Atlantic, Jyrojets, Darkwater and The Grim Northern Social in venues accross Scotland!
Our Mission Statement : To Play A Blinder. To Laugh A Lot.
If you like what you hear, come to a gig and we'll like you!
