About Me

Lead/Rhythm Guitarist with many years experience. Pro Gear and Pro Attitude. I love hard rock/ heavy music with clear and aggressive vocals.
I started playing guitar when I was 8 years old. Took a few lessons. ...they bored the hell out of me. Although, I realize now, that I learned a lot from that. It was really when I was 15 that I started taking it seriously and said, "I am going to learn to play this damn thing!" So, practicing myself and with friends, I was able to learn a few songs. The first few took a long time, but as time went on learning songs became much easier and faster.
During my junior year of high school I was fortunate enough to live in New York City for an entire year. I heard that Gene Simmons graduated from the same high school I went to, but I never confirmed that for myself. I can tell you, though, that it was damn cool. I was able to live and learn new shit and got to jam with some very talented and supportive musicians.
In the mid 90's I owned a night club in Salt Lake City. It was called, "Starr Studios". It was created to be a small, showcase concert club venue. It was an excellent catalyst for me, as it opened up the door to concert promotions. I was purchasing and promoting live productions from bands like; ProPain, MOD, LA Guns, Slaughter, Great White, KISS and more. During this period, I learned a lot about booking, negotiation, promotion and live production.
Through all these years, I've never stopped jamming and learning new stuff. I feel I've learned what it takes to build a successful band. I know the knowledge I have aquired over the years will prove to be very beneficial.
