I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a mother, a grandmother, a great aunt, and a sister. I'm a lover, and a significant other. I'm a widow and a pipedreamer. I've been in and out of love, made a lot of friendships, some of them lasting. I feel my life is passing too quickly, but I've saved almost every pair of shoes I've ever owned, and can remember what I was doing when I wore each pair. Still own more books than shoes, though.Look, here's pictures of my beautiful grandkids and daughter, aren't they sweet?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

John Julius Norwich.....in Venice. The real Anastasia R. Colin Wilson, Wilhelm Reich, Robert Anton Wilson, Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, and Jacques Yonnet. Andre Malraux, Picasso, Warhol. Wish I could have known Frank Zappa, G. Casanova. Dr. Leary. I'd love to meet Anthony Bourdain, Karla Homolka and Camille Paglia, both Verlaines and Dr. Crippen, the real Jack the Ripper, the real Zodiac (Leigh?), Elizabeth Short. Unfortunately, most of the people I'd like to meet are dead already, some of them for hundreds of years. I would like to meet Van Morrison, and Keith Richards -- thank God he's still kicking. I'd like to meet Patti Smith, all of the Pretty Things, Lou Reed. And oh yeah, I really want to meet Nico Claux, who has replaced Alexander Mars, Male Diva, as my latest obsession.

Strange Woman at My Door

Reading novels more than once, and The Pranksters

It's funny how sometimes I can read a novel, say Dr. Zhivago, over and over and over, and always love it; while other times I'll re-read something, say Sometimes A Great Notion, and wonder what I ever...
