The smell of clean leather…the sound of hooves on hard ground…the feel of silky mane running between fingers…the sight of seeing them gallop across the field in pure bliss, head up, tail flagged, nostrils flared…the taste of sweat after a good ride…the unparalleled feeling of contentment after a day spent together. There is nothing in life that can fill every sense like a horse can. They can elate you to levels you never knew possible, bring you to your knees when they are sick or ready to leave our physical world, and comfort us when we are feeling bad. Horses are not a hobby for me. They are a lifestyle.It began before I could speak or walk…this crazy love for horses. And though I’ve grown out of my childhood habits of galloping across the playground whinnying and kicking at the boys (I was always boss mare), I still catch myself daydreaming about horses. Nearly every waking moment is spent thinking about them, imagining another great pass around the arena when horse and rider become one, teaching the young horse to round pen and catching their eye for the first time when they focus completely on me and leave the outside world behind, or jumping on my beautiful mare bareback and letting her gallop up the hill at our facility.If you have caught yourself feeling any of these emotions, you are a true horse lover.Welcome to Symmetry Stables, founded by me, Lucinda Romero, in the fall of 2005. Though horses have always been a huge part of my life, it is with great honor to call them my hobby and my business. Accepting all levels of riders, from beginner to advanced, Symmetry Stables has a program to fit your needs. Though my main expertise and experience is working with gaited horses, I do accept all breeds for training, with a large emphasis on Saddle Seat and Western, i.e., Saddlebreds, Morgans, Arabs, Tennessee Walker's.We also have spectacular gaited horses for lease.
