If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit next to me.

About Me

I have an online shop! Check it out here******************************************************** ** First of all, I am freakishly small. The kind of small that makes people stare. Now that's out of the way!I teach kids how to ride horses -basic english. I used to work at a music store for almost 15 years. I guess that says I don't have a lot of ambition...the job itself was fun for the most part, it's the customer service, and the buy outs, and really stupid rules that weren't any fun. I loved my co-workers though, and that, along with getting to hear pretty much whatever you wanted music-wise every day kept me there longer. I love music, movies, art (as in making it) and writing. This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

My Interests

Horses! I've always loved them, but I've been happily drenched in all things equine for several years now and it's bliss! I love animals, we have an aviary with 9 finches, a cat, a small parrot, and a pony. I enjoy being outdoors-which is good since I work at a barn. I also love amusement parks, especially the rollercoasters.

I'd like to meet:

Batman....okay he's fictional...so what? I stand by my choice.

Music:

Depeche Mode is my favorite. I like a lot of bands, most of them circa 1985-1993....hmmm what does that say about my age! I like all that 'new wave' stuff. I've fallen out of touch with a lot of the current stuff, except what's on the radio, which is mostly crap.

Movies:

The Crow, Harry Potter's entire series, Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Star Wars (Phantom Menace & Attack of the clones were crap though), A League of Their Own,The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, and all things animated and Disney Anything scary and gory (although I'm so over the Halloween series. I think I was good with just the first one....) I like action/fantasy/sci fi.

Television:

I'm so into Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy, and LOST right now. Nip/Tuck, Dead Like Me, Six Feet Under. Friends reruns. I'm not into the reality tv, although I get sucked in if I catch it while channel surfing. It's dangerously addicting, like those damned info-mercials; you practically have to chew off the hand holding the remote. What's that about anyway?

Books:

Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, Patricia Cornwell, Jodi Picoult, Rita Mae Brown. Mystery and fantasy are my favs.

Heroes:

First off, my mom for beating breast cancer! I applaud her strength. As for the rest I think all my heros are comic book characters. (Thanks Mike!) Batman, Wonderwoman, and Rogue. In real life...I don't know.... David O'Connor who won the individual gold medal in the 2000 Olympics for 3-day eventing. I met him and got his autograph. That won't mean jack to non-horsey people, but what a cool guy! So humble and nice. He even passed around the medal for everyone to look at!

My Blog

Parking lots turn people into morons

What is it about being in a parking lot that makes normal people completely stupid, thoughtless and rude? Sometimes I hate having to go out in public. Today I watched people step right off the curb w...

bloodbath

Last week one of the women that boards her horse at my barn was running her dog out in an empty pasture. The dog saw a nutria, wouldn't come when the owner called him, and the nutria didn't get into t...

Well, another year has gone by and I look at my reflection in the mirror and just can't believe where all the time has gone. How can I possibly be 38 years old? I don't feel 38 and I guess that's the ...
