SUBURBAN SECT

About Me

Suburban Sect, established in January 1995, was Pittsburgh's answer to Britain's mid 90's Brit Pop/Rock revival. The band included Bob Gilbert on vox, Tim Thomas on guitar, Joey Dello Stritto on bass, and Curtis Biondich on drums. The band released it's only CD, "Margo Bird," in March of 1996, and continued to play on until they parted ways with singer Bob Gilbert in May of 1998. An ill-fated attempt to replace Gilbert fell short, and in 1999 the band officially split up. The entire band decided in the spring of 2006 to do a final show, which never took place when the band originally split. On 4 August 2006 the band reformed and had it's official "last show" at the 31st Street Pub in Pittsburgh. And by "last show" they mean that they will still be playing around town from time to time.....
