My name is Shawn. I was born in Norfolk, Virginia. I lived in Portsmouth for my elementary school to sophomore high school years.
Then moved back to Norfolk to live the good life. Now I reside just at the edge, where Norfolk and Virginia Beach meet.
I cook a variety of foods at Calz Pizza. I take great pride in every restaurant except for the one that I work at.
I used to be horribly obsessed with Trent Reznor and his works, but for the past few years I've been developing my own sound; without borrowing from Nine Inch Nails too much. My main inspirations for music are Nine Inch Nails, Filter, Aphex Twin, Radio Head, Silverchair, and a good mix of various hip hop and metal talents.
I like to make no two songs sound alike, unless I've got a theme or a concept binding them. I use TabIt for MIDI processing; Reason 4.0 for rendering, patching, looping, and beatmaking; Sony Acid Pro for VSTs such as Auto Tune 5, and Melodyne 6; and finally I use Adobe Audition for putting it all together.
When I'm at work I smoke cigarettes, at least one an hour. When i'm at home I smoke more than just cigarettes, and definitely more than one an hour. I also like to drink on occasion, given the product and the people surrounding it. I drink more coffee than anything else, and I do fear that it will eventually be the death of me.
