I am a husband, a devoted father of 3 dogs and the drummer in Southern California based Pearl Jam tribute band "Dirty Frank". Drumming wise, my influences to play drums were AC/DC's Phil Rudd, Peter Criss, Ringo Starr and Ronnie Tutt. I cry at Oscar speeches.
My favorite drummers are Stephen Perkins, Jack Irons, Chad Gracy, my dear pal Greg Upchurch, Eric Singer, Dave Abbruzzese, Brian "Brain" Mantia and that one guy from Dread Zeppelin. I know these days its really cool to site some obscure reference to some jazz drummer that has been dead longer than I've been alive as your drumming influence but not me folks...I am a big, sweaty rock pig all the f'n way.
