Let me share something simple & grounding. It moved me. It continues to move me. A bright light in my life gave me a gift today. It was right in front of me. But I didn't see it, and she did. "The marvelous medicine for all sickness Just for today...Do not be angry...Do not be worried...Be grateful...Work hard (on improving yourself)...Be kind to others. Every morning and every night, sit with hands held palm-to-palm and speak these words out loud in your heart." Today, the more forgiveness I see that is needed in my heart, my growth awaits me. I do not share any of this lightly. I'm not trying to impress. I'm to not feel depressed. So today, every cell of me wants to know that the path to my happiness comes down to forgiveness...my own, and do away with the monsters of trauma in my past. I read someone say "scar tissue is stronger than flesh. But you have to move on." I held on to that. My scar tissue was my emotional armor. But for today, I have a chance to change from a wall into acceptance. As I end my day, I won't be angry, and I won't be worried. I will discover what it is I was grateful for today, and will work hard to be true to these words. And as I do, I'll be grateful I can find enough honesty in my heart to show kindness to others.
