I am here for Friends

About Me

Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Yellow day

I believe that you have to live life to the fullest. I love family and friends around me and have learned to cherish great people because you never know what tomorrow brings. I believe adversity makes you stronger and drives you to always strive for better things. I love to travel and plan to control my shopping habit to have more money to spend on trips. I love to hang black and white pictures on my wall from beautiful places that I have visited. I love to have romantic dinners with my hubby, especially when he cooks. I love to make people laugh and I often use humor as a defense and source of stress relief. I love giving hugs. I love being a girl and revel in times where I can be pampered, spoiled, dramatic, or wearing uncomfortable shoes that look fabulous. But, I hope that you are here because you know some of this stuff already. I hope these thoughts of mine have enlightened you as much they have me. You should also know that I would love to chat, so feel free to comment.

My Interests

friends, family, music, photography, giving "just-because" gifts, stupid celebrity gossip magazines (guilty pleasure), coffee, lipstick, cocktails, Halloween, unexpected phone calls/messages/ texts from people that say that they were thinking of me, throwing parties, chinese food, dressing to impress, driving and dancing and singing (all at the same time) and shopping...of course

I'd like to meet:

I am looking to meet new friends and connect with old ones. But...Gwen Stefani, Ryan Gosling, and Reggie Bush (haha) would not be too shabby either.

Music:

Not picky about music...my first loves are 90's rock and 80's stuff, but I like anything. I can move from No Doubt, to Journey, to Otis Redding, to ZZ Top, to Stone Temple Pilots...whatever is cool.

Movies:

My favorite movies of all time are The Notebook, The Wedding Singer, Steel Magnolias, Wayne's World, and The Commitments.

Television:

If I can catch the episodes/re-runs, the Golden Girls, Nip/Tuck, What Not to Wear (love Clinton), Project Runway, and/or MTV reality shows, not much time for tv.

Books:

Just finished Angels and Demons and I hear that they are coming out with the movie, hmmm. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Fast Food Nation, the Martini Diet, and all Nicholas Sparks books are great. It is always nice to read any fashion or home decorating magazines too. My next book will hopefully be about dream analysis...so interesting.

Heroes:

My mom and my husband for putting up with me at various stages of my life.

My Blog

We all grow up one day.

Wow, my little brother had his 21st birthday yesterday.  I still remember cooking him mac and cheese, kicking him out of my room, and letting him camp out in my bedroom on Christmas eve to "...

My big New York surprise!

Las Vegas Baby!

I booked, with Lacy, my plane tickets for our trip to Vegas.  All these years, I knew a city like this one was waiting for a girl as sophisicated and cool as ME.  Damn, it makes me almost wa...

age discrimination

Good news and bad news.  Gavin and I, both being 26, have been trying to rent a beach house in Destin for Labor Day weekend.  We fell in love with this house on the beach, three stories, lik...

recalling Justin Timberlake...

I was just reading a blog put up by Jamie about a great concert experience.  It made me think of my most recent (besides Mollys shows), odd, unexpectedly exciting, and kickass concert story&...

"Black" nail polish

Damn it, I don't wear black nail polish.  It is midnight blue.  You know, I get that from my Mom always telling me no to black in high school...so there.

What do I do?

I guess it is normal for friends to go their separate ways.  It is hard to talk to people that you used to know so well and have totally different interests and lives now.  You shold cut you...
