Since an early age, Evelyn Fordham Goodman has been inspiring audiences through music. Her rich voice stirs the heart and moves the spirit. She considers her voice not only an instrument, but a God-given gift that uplifts the soul. Her mission in life is to magnify Jesus Christ through word and song.
Her early musical training began in Kansas City, Missouri where she studied classical and jazz piano. In high school she received vocal training under the tutelage of the highly acclaimed Lloyd B. Mallory, Jr. It was there that she discovered a love for singing. She joined the award-winning Pine Forge Academy Concert Choir in Pine Forge, Pennsylvania and quickly emerged as a star vocalist. She has sung throughout the United States, Barbados, England, West Africa, and the Holy Land.
Evelyn has been a lead singer for numerous groups and choirs including the Lincoln University Choir in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania; the Dynamic Praise Gospel Choir in Huntsville, Alabama; the internationally known Aeolians of Oakwood College; and the Voices of Hope in Chicago, Illinois. She has worked with noted songwriters and producers Troy Chambers, Reginald Reid, Bill Jolly, John Stoddart, Steven Ford, and the late Kelvin Lenox. She has also opened concerts for gospel recording groups Witness, Men of Standard, and Wilmington-Chester Mass Choir. She has shared the stage with many notable gospel artists including: Joel Kibble of Take 6, Duawne Starling, Virtue, Daryl Coley, Desmond Pringle, Yolanda Adams, and Mary Mary. In 2004, Evelyn was chosen as one of 10 finalists for the 1st annual Kraft New Voices of Gospel Talent Search held at the legendary House of Blues in New Orleans, LA. In 2005, she was a finalist of Christian Artist Talent Search (CATS), the Christian version of American Idol.
Evelyn's musical gift crosses denominational genres and ethnic boundaries. She appeared on the Inspirational Network (Christian Artist Talent Search), the 2005 Gospel Music Workshop of America Convention (Gospel Treasure Search), the 58th session of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, 5th Anniversary of Amachi -Big Brothers' Big Sisters' Mentoring program, the 2000 Republican National Convention, 2008 Philadelphia Mayor Inauguration and at numerous other religious, social and political events.

Evelyn is currently working with Grammy Award winning producer, Steven Ford, on her first independent project.
