Ruth Bayer

London-based Austrian-born Ruth Bayer studied cello at the Mozartium, Salzburg, although she concentrates mostly on photography these days.
Ruth has held several exhibitions of her works in the UK, Austria and Italy, and her photos have been used for album sleeves by various underground/experimental performers and musicians.
For the last few years she has been archival photogrpher at the London Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), photographing performances and events.
Her current projects include “Haunted” – reconstructions of known hauntings, and “Murder Most Foul” – images inspired by crime novel titles. A project called "Splash" was created in 2004 and consists of a homemade underwater world. Examples of these projects are on the slideshow above.
