I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a happily married 32 year old with the world's most beautiful little girl, Avery Elise, who soon will be two years old. Everyone says that their child is perfect, but ours actually is. I graduated from Zane Trace High School in 1994, Ohio University in 1998 and Ohio Northern University Law School in 2001. I live in a rural northwestern Ohio town where I am the prosecuting attorney for the city and a private attorney on the side. I am also the Divorce Mediator for our county and I enjoy that very much. Ironically, I am also an ordained minister and can perform weddings, too. I've already done a bunch of them. I'm currently trying to write a semi-non-fiction (if that makes sense) book-type thing about two good childhood friends who terrorize a small, Ohio town. It's coming slowly, but every now and then I think of something good to write down. An homage, really, to my old friend Jay Keeton who is the salt of the Earth. Fortunately, I have a wonderful wife (seven years plus of wedded bliss), great families and great friends---everything else is really not that important when you think about it. Oh, we have a dog named Dylan and he's pretty cool, too. I learned a few years after law school that a person should work to live, not the other way around. Life is short and too important to waste all of your energy on things outside your family and friends. My life became much sweeter when that realization set in. But enough about me...how the hell are you?

Part Five of the Book

As the bottom of the bag broke free, Jay and I did all we could to stifle the laughter that was building inside us. Skillfully, Jay lifted the shovel next to the door and began shoveling the dog turd...

Fourth part of the book

"Oh fuck", said Jeff, clearly in disbelief at what he saw. Vince turned to look and saw Jay holding tightly onto the rat that, fully extended, exceeded eighteen inches in length. The weight of the th...

Part two of this installment

In an instant, I heard the recognizable sound of the puff of air as the BB escaped from the barrel of the BB gun aimed by Vince Schaeffer. I whipped my head around just as Jay's hand instinctively ro...

A little bit of my book in progress...Part One

On this particular afternoon, the mill was in full operation. Still, even when in full operation, it appeared desolate. No actual workers were ever in sight. To this da...
