I am here for Friends

About Me

I live in York, work in a bank and spend a lot of time wishing I was somewhere else. I will be one day. See? I can be optimistic! I don't like camping, or being cold. I hate bad manners and rude people, there's really no need. I do, however, speak my mind. If you don't like it, grow the fuck up. I hate poor spelling and punctuation, it's a sign of a retard, so don't do it. I dislike folk intensely, who claim benefits and are capable of a hard days graft. I do love my kip, talking incessantly, my friends and family and all the stuff listed to the left. I Thai box, when I can be arsed. I love creme eggs. I have a lot of time for people who are genuine and honest and love being presented with an unexpected cup of tea. I love folk with a sick/nasty sense of humour, mainly cos I have one. I enjoy reptilian life forms. I'm clumsy, beyond belief, I break things and fall over for no apparent reason. I blame the shoes. I'm always hungry after a night out and have an inbuilt autopilot that propels me to the nearest pizza shop, where I have an unhealthy obsession with garlic bread. If my pennies are missing, (beer monkey stole them!) this is replaced with piles of toast, which usually take so long (drunk buttering IS an artform) I fall asleep having eaten none. I'm always in a shitty mood on a morning and dislike stupid people. But thats all the time, not just on a morning. If I'm mean and sarcastic to you, I probably like you, otherwise I wouldn't bother. And I have no tact, whatsoever. I can't help it, I'm Northern.

My Interests

Unplanned nights out/day trips where everything comes together, you do random stuff and you have the best time, TV, films, live gigs, catching up with buddies, catching up with buddies with serious amounts of alcohol, art (design tattoos/paint/draw, mostly custom work) reading, spending a fortune on ebay (goddamn that auction site!!!) I kinda like cooking, think its a sign I'm getting old. I love reptiles, snakes, turtles, lizards. Better than your average hamster. Also learning how to make my 'puter do what I want it to do....this one's a constant, mind-numbing challenge, computers suck cock.

I'd like to meet:

Nobody in particular, can get on with most folk, unless you bore the tits off me......by reading the above, we'll hopefully avoid this situation. Don't "add me", I will ignore you, unless you send a message first. And if all that hasn't put you off, hello! :P
..
adopt your own virtual pet!

Music:

Everything from Tool to Tori Amos. But a special mention for Faith No More, BoySetsFire, From Autumn to Ashes, Kidneythieves, 36CF, Incubus, like my punk, (Lagwagon, Rancid, Sublime) old Prodigy and Ganja Kru....Oh and Stevie Nicks...you get the idea. Did I mention The Police too? Shush now.

Movies:

Will watch most things, special place in my heart for old 80's movies (Goonies!!!!) and especially Dog Soldiers! Gotta have someone hold my hand for that one! :S (Horror films scare me shitless, I know, its shameful.) I am prone to blubbing, especially at The Green Mile.

Television:

League of Gentlemen, Little Britain, Bottom, Bill Bailey, Peter Kay & Eddie Izzard when they're on! Black Books, Phoenix Nights, Red Dwarf, Ren & Stimpy, anything that raises a giggle, (and, ahem, occasional minor soap obsession, and S.A.T.C convert I'm afraid.)But most definitely none of that sci fi Farscape/Deep Space 9 bollocks, manga, anime, subtitled shit. If I wanted to read I'd find a book.

Books:

Stephen King, Stephen Leather, (like my thriller/horror stuff) Kate Atkinson, Fiona Walker, Zadie Smith, Stephen Fry, E.M Forster, Dave Pelzer, Richard Bachman, Peter Carey, Anne Rice, Arthur Golden, Thomas Harris, Joanne Harris, Angela Carter and a recent Dan Brown convert....too many to mention but I will read any old crap if I'm bored.

Heroes:

No heroes, just folks I respect, like Mike Patton and Maynard James Keenan, and very envious and in awe of those that get to do artistic things for a living.
