Larmer Tree Festival

About Me

We started out in 1990 with a 12 hour party for 100 friends and have slowly grown into a five day festival for 4,000 people with some of the finest music from all over the world. As well as the music, we also offer over 100 free workshops and some of the most entertaining and engaging street performers around.
The festival is held in the magical Larmer Tree Gardens, deep in the heart of the remote Cranborne Chase on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, these enchanted gardens are home to roaming peacocks and colourful macaws, long avenues with twists and turns featuring quirky statues and hidden dells, perfect for a game of hide and seek – and not just for the kids!
Obviously we think the festival is truly unique, but here’s what some of the audience said last year:
"I’ve been to many festivals, but this was the best - just the right size, fantastic music, beautiful surroundings, campsite not overcrowded, flushing loos ... I could go on and on!" Harry
“Magical, unique and bursting with fab music ‘n’ theatre – absolutely loved it, had a wicked weekend, can’t wait till next year” Lara
"Great bands, good vibes and the right mixture of relaxation and excitement" Polly and Paul
