In autumn 2003,guitarist (and vocalist)Francesco Foti had grown tired of playing in metal bands and wanted to estabilish a new act to focus on his musical passions and influences:classic seventies rock and blues. Therefore he joined forces with his brother Giovanni Foti on drums and long time friends Erik Laurini on bass(who he already played with in some previous band) and Simone Calmo on guitar. The four, in a night fueled by alchool and musical jam in their rehearsal room, chose the name of Buck mcCoy,inspired by the character of the drunken cowboy appeared in a magnificent episode of "The Simpsons". If the roots of these guys are in heavy metal in its various forms, they had grown up as musicians with strong influence of acts like Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple,Queen, Pink Floyd,Jimi Hendrix,Cream,Rolling Stones, ecc.so it was a natural choice to cover those great bands in order to increase the musical intimacy within the band and to build a setlist for shows. After a period of "training" the band started to perform in its town(Trieste) and occasionally in Muggia and Udine(both in Italy).
As of late 2007 BmcC start to perform original material along some "classic" covers and are working on some very rough demos of their songs, wich will be uploaded (hopefully) for your pleasure as soon as the final touch is put on them.
LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT, IF WE SUCK,WE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW!!!!!! ;)
