About Me

Introduction
I've been spinning tunes for 14 years. During this time I've also
promoted events within the swedish electronic breakbeat scene.
By doing this I hope me and some other people in the
South and West have proved to be a counter weight
to a prevailing fixation that the definition of a nationwide scene never
stretches further than the city limits of the capitol.
As a resident and promoter at a bunch of swedish clubs I have tried to
act as a representative of styles as jungle and drum&bass but also
dj-wise as a progressor of new influences fusing a wide selection of
flavours into my sets during the years, like UK-garage, Nu Skool
Breaks, Electrohouse and Dubstep.
I'm always on a neverending hunt for new funky rythms,
infectious basslines and evolving grooves.
Musical Background
I started spinning tunes shortly after attending university studies
in the student town of Lund in 93. This felt as a natural development
after years of intense vinyl addiction and also never missing out on
any of the early rave parties in Denmark and the South-Swedish
region.
My musical roots are in 80..s electronic music and I grew up with
acts like Depeche Mode, Cabaret Voltaire, Kraftwerk, Front 242 and
Nitzer Ebb. As electronic music evolved I got into styles like New Beat
and Acid onto the sound of early Harthouse Techno. In 92 I got heavily
into hardcore like SL-2 and Altern-8 and a while later styles like Jungle
and Trip Hop. I mainly followed the London-scene and it became
my main influence for several years.
Clubs
During the years I’ve hosted several regular club events like Club
Skywalker, Deep Fry, Super Sharp Shooter, Concrete Garage,
Grand National Jamrock and last but not least Freedom, featuring
guests as Claude Young, DJ Rush, Pascal F.E.O.S, Adam Beyer,
Stacey Pullen, Ricardo Villalobos, Cari Lekebush and many more.
I’ve tried to do my share of keeping the vibe alive and bring over
acts I find exciting. I’ve also had the opportunity to perform at both
national festivals, many clubs around Scandinavia and also at the
flourishing scene of Eastern Europe.
In May 2008 i shut down my monthly event Big Bad Bass (previously
Super Sharp Shooter) after running for a straight 10 year period.
During this time it reached a nationwide reputation as one of swedens
most intense dancefloors with a long array of scandinavian
guest-djs and mc's.
Present
My musical preference reflects my roots and lately I normally
spin everything from straight D'n'B sets covering styles as Jump up,
Liquid Funk, Ragga Jungle, Ol’ Skool and Drumfunk to straight House
or crossover sets fusing Breaks, Electro and Bassline House.
I also promote my present event "Fish'n Chips - UK Bass",
a small but intense monthly event crossing styles like Bassline House,
Drum&Bass, Dubstep, Grime, Breaks & Ol' Skool.
Also, this can’t be said often enough;
There is only one priority, The dancefloor.
