Media Children began in June or july of 1988 when we were all in high school. We are now all in our 30's. All of us had seen each other at Animal Liberation demonstrations in the past. Once we got together for our first practice we discovered that we all had similar ideas and attitudes and that we could possibly make our band work. After 6 or 7 short practices, we recorded these songs that you are listening to. Our belief dealt heavily with nuclear war, starvation, racism, sexism, animal abuse, vegetarianism, etc. As a band and as individuals, our goals were to stay active and do much as possible to change things with the time we had. We wanted our ideas to go beyond music and melody to the point of Action. Putting words into action not just singing about it!!! Later on we released our 1st vinyl EP and it was 1000 prints that came with huge poster with tons of writtings and clips. We had penpals all over the world and just in one week all our EP was gone. Not sure how many times the EP was printed but it went all over the world (I think Mass Media records made couple thousand more). We had many penpals and distros who was helping us out and did tons interviews. I'll post them up soon so keep checking.
By- Jang Lee.
PS- the band had a line up change and did their last show in April 1992.
