About Me

In a music scene so watered down with "core" bands, it's a breath of fresh air to see a band that actually has the musical chops to write heavy melodic music. Taking that into consideration with every song they write, OUR CITY IN RUINS creates a balance of heaviness and melody that makes them accessible to the biggest metal head (and his girlfriend). With lyrics portraying a positive message they stand to even hang with the hardcore kids too. Showcasing a sound that is well beyond there years, this group of 17 year olds still has a long road to look forward too.
