About Me
As a child growing up in Harlem, my biggest dream was to become a performer. I have been Blessed to have a Mother and Father who have supported my musical endeavors since the age of five. My parents also instilled in me the strength and the moral values to succeed as I go forward on this musical journey.I began taking piano lessons under the direction of my Father at the age of 4 years old. I later continued my studies at the Harlem School of the Arts. This is where my love of music truly began to blossom.I also attended the Choir Academy of Harlem where in 2005 I graduated Salutatorian. At the academy I maintained a 3.7 GPA throughout my High School years. I was also a member of the Boys Choir of Harlem starting as a soprano, then an alto, and currently a tenor. I was fortunate enough to perform several solos in the choir, plus work as an assistant choreographer for the Choir.Since my years as a member of the Choir Academy/Boys Choir of Harlem I have had the privilege of performing and/or recording with many world renown artists, such as: Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Regina Bell, Lionel Richie, P. Diddy, Destiny’s, Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J, Vanessa Williams, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey, Brian Mcknight, Mase, Kanye West, the movie “Glory†soundtrack and Pepsi. One of note was the prestigious program at The Boston University Tanglewood Institute where I attended for two consecutive summers on a scholarship.Throughout my tenure with the Choir I have traveled the fifty states, plus Holland, Israel, Japan, Vienna, Canada, Puerto Rico and Turkey. I have met so many people and seen so many interesting sights that have enriched my life and made me a well-rounded person. Currently I am a sophomore at Lincoln University (the first HBCU in the Country) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I have a concentration in Music Education with a minor in Business Management.I have been recording on a solo level for two years and have completed a compilation of several songs, many of which I have written, some of which I co-wrote and produced with others.
