About Me

New Blog on life's little oddities: http://wordpress.com/lindagodfrey Latest post: A Town Called Cream Author, artist, radio host and researcher of the strange, I specialize in anomalous creatures, particularly bipedal canids, which some like to call werewolves! And no, I don't believe any of them are already on My Space; the ones I study have no humanity. My free time is usually spent reading, making art or walking, and I collect 50s/60s metal dollhouses, werewolf toys and statues, and all types of books. I am represented as a commercial artist by Tom Stocki of Elm Grove's Art Factory, http://www.artfactoryltd.com. My websites are http://wordpress.com/lindagodfrey http://www.beastofbrayroad.com and http://www.weirdmichigan.com. My books lean to the macabre; "The Poison Widow, A True Story of Sin, Strychnine and Murder," "The Beast of Bray Road, Tailing Wisconsin's Werewolf," "Hunting the American Werewolf," "Weird Michigan" and "Weird Wisconsin." "Strange Wisconsin, More Badger State Weirdness" won a bronze medal in the 2008 Independent Publishers Best Books Awards. New are "Werewolves," "Lake and Sea Monsters" "mythical Creatures" (Chelsea House) and "Strange Michigan," and also two YA fantasy novels. I am happily married to the guy who stood in front of me in the Milton 4-H choir when we were ten years old, and we have two grown sons. Once in a while we still recite the 4-H pledge just for kicks...I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, my health to better living, for my club, my community and my country...

The Kind of Two Weeks I've Had

It has been a strange and harried two weeks. Creature sightings, yes, including a 40-year old face to face with a Manwolf in Michigan. But other things unrelated to my research or health have consumed...

Dollhouse Mystery Solved

It was just too weird to be true. The noise was too concrete, and I couldn't get the haunted dollhouse cabinet (scroll down a post) out of my mind. So tonight when someone wrote me about it I went bac...

NEW BOOK OUT

Belated Valentine and Uncanny Radio

Zounds, has Valentine's Day come and gone so soon? Below is a Valentine, admittedly biased in favor of Manwolf over Bigfoot, that I meant to post on time but did not quite get to. My time has been tak...
