Fabrice Rouzier

Fabrice Rouzier has been composing , producing and playing keys on tracks for Haitian artists for the better part of the last 20 years. He contributed to the careers of Emeline Michel, Sweet Micky, Boukman Eksperyans, Beethova Obas, BélO, Tifane, Jude Jean , Jahnesta and numerous others. In 1986, he founded Mizik-Mizik. Mizik-Mizik has long been a very influencial band in the HMI.In 1990, Tabou Combo's Ernst Marcelin was cowardly slain in NY. Fabrice was called by Tabou's management to fill the void. He spent close to three years touring the world with them and producing two amazing albums : "Zap Zap" and " Go Tabou Go ".In 2001, with his "partner-in-crime" Clément Bélizaire, he singlehandedly revived the Twoubadou genre that swept the world beat market. His Haiti Twoubadou albums remain amongst the top sellers of Haitian music.In 2003, with the help of partners he put together the Soley Sounds music label. Soley Sounds has already produced albums by Haiti Twoubadou, Tropicana, Nickenson Prud'homme, Jahnesta and BélO. Soley Sounds prides itself in being the label for new artists.In 2006, Fabrice was the musical director for the OAS concert for peace held in Port-au-Prince , Haiti. The concert featured 17 top artists from different genres. He also produced tracks for the award winning Soley Sound compilation "Alo Haiti". He also produced the first solo albums of crooner Jude Jean and of newcomer Tifane. Both album were released worldwide in december of 2006.In 2007, Fabrice was also chosen to be the musical director of the 1st Digicel Stars competition ( Sort of a Caribbean American Idol ). He also completed the latest Mizik-Mizik album titled "Paradi nan lanfè" due out in May 2008.
