Jared John Mendes, 18, Tiverton, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at Rhode Island Hospital of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident on Route 24 while returning home from a benefit.
Born in Fall River, Mass., he was the son of Michael J. and Carolyn (Olivera) Mendes of Tiverton.
He graduated from Rogers High School in Newport in June of 2003 and was studying business administration at Bristol Community College in Fall River.
