Phuturistic Bluez was originally a D+B/Downtempo promotion group based out of Boston, USA. The intention was to spread the word of the exciting musical style of Drum and Bass. Established in 1996 the organization led by Al Fougy(later with Roger Forbes) quickly became one of the leading organizers to run weekly d+b events in the USA until 2000. Guests included Doc Scott + MC Justyc, Trace, Grooverider+Fabio,Ed Rush+Optical,Dr. S. Gatchet, DJ SS,DJ Rap,Photek, J-Magik,Technical Itch, Dom+Roland,Roni Size Reprazent, A-Sides,LTJ Bukem+MC Conrad, Blame and many others... Towards the end of promoting D+B parties, Al Fougy decided that during that time there was a lack of A+R's based in the USA who didn't represent a true quality consistent label. Recognizing his years of musical experience with promoting and growing up with his old school roots. He picked up on a new quest to establish quickly one of the premier D+B labels.. not only in the USA but on an international level. Recieving accolades and high marks in many music publications for consistent releases. The Phuturistic Bluez sound is not predictable and it's only quest is to challenge the wave of musical direction in general. Established in 1999(w/DJ Takeya) Phuturistic Bluez is now quickly becoming a recognized force in putting out tunes with sensibility and care. PB's last single "Wonderful Day" by Greg Packer w/Rachel Claudio was released in February 2004.
