Piotr "Pienal" Peczek- born in 1977 in the central part of Poland, city named Opoczno. Being 11, he started his adventure with drums, playing covers of the hard and heavy music standards, as well as his first own compositions. When he was 15, he began to play the concerts in his neighbourhood, with the first real band, called Freedom. Getting deeper into the musical world, tasting the liberty of artistic and creative expression, he decided to tie his life with music. In 1997 and 1999 he recorded albums with extreme art band called Nomad.In 1999, noticed and estimated by the members of the legendary group KAT he was invited to take part in creating the new material. Unfortunately, because of some unpredictable events, it was never recorded.
Since 2001/2002, Pienal is an official member and drummer of Horrorscope one of the best in Poland and recognizable in the world metal scene thrash metal band. Joining the group, which has a big influence on today's shape of metal music in Poland, Piotr brought new view and pointed the importance of rhythmic nuances in the character of music, recognizable by fans, out to listeners and media. Together with the Horrorscope, he played a great amount of concerts in the part of Europe, promoting the albums Pictures Of Pain (2002-2003), The Crushing Design (2004-2005) and the brand new one - Evoking Demons (at the present). Since the moment Pienal was invited to cooperate with Horrorscope, the band came into its way of success on the metal stage publishing the licensed CD's in Germany, Japan, Russia and France. What is interesting albums recorded with Pienal were bought by one of the biggest polish phonographic companies Metal Mind Productions and the cooperation with this company has been lasting till now.
Taking the active part in recording and playing concerts with Horrorscope, the drummer doesn't avoid contacts and session recordings with other groups and often participates as a sideman in the recording studio. He confirms also his reputability as a drummer by giving regular individual lessons to the young adepts of the art of drums and the amateurs of the metal playing school. Recognizable, individual style of Pienal's playing joins the characteristic metal sounds, worked on the base of the music technique of such drummers as Paul Bostaph, Scott Travis and Mike Mangini.
The key of both Pienal's and Horrorscope's success, is the perfect match the musician's personality to the artistic image of the band.
