The Mile Markers

With their roots based in old time, folk and traditional American music, The Mile Markers are a dynamic, high-energy duo from Denver, Colorado. Julie Stratton (vocals/guitar) began writing songs in 1996 under the guidance of Celeste Krenz and since has grown into her own voice. Julie's songs offer fresh insight and a unique twist on the traditional folk sound. Bevin Foley (fiddle/vocals) is an explosive, lyrical fiddle player. With a degree in music performance from Denver University Bevin has been welcomed on stage by many bands including Trampled By Turtles and Pert' Near Sandstone. Julie and Bevin began to collaborate musically in 2001 and today form The Mile Markers. Their haunting vocal harmonies have been known to make grown men cry and the rollicking musical arrangements have pulled people to their feet and onto the dance floor. It makes no difference if they are interpreting traditional tunes or playing originals, this is not a band to miss.
