Psyren is Mousteri Elena who was born in Cyprus/Limassol in January 1990. Currently she's studying computer science in Greece. She also plans to get involved with multimedia in order to expand her music horizons. She started taking piano and guitar lessons at a very early age. At the age of 16 she went to her first psytrance party in Cyprus where she realized that she fell in love with that kind of music. She was so excited, that at the age of 16 she started experimenting as a bedroom dj and a year later she decided to write her own psy music, specifically dark psychedelic. She received her first guestmix under psylence's fifth ''pure psychedelia'' show (cluboholic.com). The set was posted in June 2008.
TSUNAMI was founded in 1996, as a music production and management company, as well as a label, on a mission, to bring psychedelic trance to America, build up the marke, and cultivate international talent for the US as well as finding new US talent for the International market.
We are the first and leading trance organization in the US. In the course of the last 10 years, we have introduced over 60 overseas international artists or acts to the US, and we continue to do so today. The first major trance party in the US was on September 21, our Return To The Source at The Liberty Science Center. Until that time, there were just some very small free parties in San Francisco, and even smaller in Toronto or Montreal. From that first party, people from all over traveled to New York to be part of it. Here are some of the names we were the first to bring to America, all of which we have used many times since:

In the last 9 years we have produced between 180-200 events, in NY. We havem also have an independent TSUNAMI Organization in Israel, led by the visionary Tomer Zilvershtein., Trowing some of the Top parties in isreal, and, as of last year, also in Cyprus. The US arm also holds events in NJ, FL, CA, Puerto Rico, UK, Australia, and Bulgaria. Our events draw, depending on size of venue between 300-5000 people.
We constantly court the press to cover our events and/or artists, getting us front page coverage weekend section NY Times, 6 pages SPIN Magazine, countless Village Voice, Time Out, Paper Magazine, NY Magazine, DJ magazine, just to name a very few.
In 2000 we came out, over Kinetic Records with our first compilation. It featured exclusive tracks by: INFECTED MUSHROOM, I-ZEN, YAHEL, X-DREAM, TOTAL ECLIPSE, KOXBOX, OFORIA, ZORBA, CHAKRA, with two singles in vinyl form. It has by many fold shattered through any sales records in the US, and is by far still the top seller of all times for this genre in the US.
