About Me

Francois Mauriac
Fine artist, plastic arts teacher, illustrator and restorer.
Right now he’s dedicated to religious art, publicity and different interdisciplinary projects.
His style is mostly manierist and it’s defined for a special emphasis in backlightning and using red.
His work shows a special concern for spiritual topics such as dreams or the universal continuous struggle between good and evil that plays a decisive role in humanity’s history and future.
He’s profoundly influenced by music and literature, his proposal is:
“Through figures, possibilities are endless. The artist is a craftsman, he has good taste and passion for aesthetics; it takes discipline and effort (more than an eccentric personality) in order to create a transcendental artwork: Work speaks for itself. ”
“Abstract art testifies that man has nothing to say, nothing to express or assure, if he lacks a childish vision of the world"
Francois Mauriac
