Dear Community and Neighbor,
Hi there! We are My Passion Crib! A local youth grass root organization that started in Carson but consist of students and youth from Carson Senior High, Andrew Carnegie Middle School, Stephen M. White Middle school, Nathaniel Narbonne High, Banning High, Long Beach Polytechnic High, Cabrillo High, Long Beach Wilson High, Bishop Montgomery High, Long Beach City College, Harbor College, El Camino College and Occidental College.
My passion Crib advocates the Arts whether it’s from poetry, painting, writing, music, organizing, designing, speaking, acting, dancing, or self expression. Arts is knowing where you came from this organization gives the opportunity to the youth that are not seen, understood, nor respected. Besides advocating Arts, we believe about learning Political Understanding, Environmental Issues, Drug Awareness, Culture, Heritage, Religion, Embracing Diversity, Family Growth, Self Growth/Improvement, Immigration Rights, Education, and Community Outreach. The majority of our youth today is going through problems at home which make them feel like they don't have a voice. My passion crib helps to bring the voice of the youth to our community through the guidance of some young adults and our elders who have gone through same situations and are willing to share with us their wisdom through our workshops. We believe that if your are not aware of the past you are doomed to repeat its mistakes. We need to work together to create solutions through art, our talents, and self expression to positively improve the lives of our fellow youth so that we can become, not only better citizens of society, but a happier and more passionate member of society. Many grow up to live lives they are trained to do and never doing the things they were meant to do. We believe in knowing ourselves so we can become and achieve the things that we are meant to in life. We believe in living a better meaningful life and we know that journey starts now. Each and one of us deserve a second chance to understand the purpose for ourselves, family, friends, future and the next generation. My Passion Crib is the future youth that will make a change in the community, with their friends, and with their family.
