Eyes closed, heart open, the vocals of Oxford take you to an era when the feeling in one word, sang just so, could move you to smile, cry or make you stand up and do something. Oxford is an extraordinary performer. Honing her craft in Park City, Utah, she soon became a local celebrity, first with "The Motherlode Canyon Band," then as a solo artist, she opened for acts such as Sheryl Crow and Branford Marsalis. It was after fronting the "Max Weinberg Seven," in Utah that she decided it was time to move east to New York to further her passion. Oxford's rapidly evolving style covers vibes and genres from soul inspired blues, hearkening back to the era of Janis Joplin- to trippy contemporary beats and in your face Zep. rock. Powerful and impossible to ignore, Oxford has something to say, and she's going to make damn sure you hear it.
