DBE started in the great city of Savannah (C-port), Georgia where two Savannah State University Football players were participating in the School's Freestyle battles. Marcus "M.G.Z" Glenn and Amhad "Young G" Mitchell were two aspiring MCs who met their freshman year at Savannah State. Both were very musically inclined and decided to start their own group called "Dem Bottum Boys". MGZ hails from Augusta (AUG) ,GA and Young G represents that Hogansville (trap County). The two were gettiing a major buzz and decided to add more elements to the group. Atlanta's Ricky "Fontaine" Newman. MGZ started his internship with Universal Records and learned so much about the music business and decided to start a company that reprsents all of the down south. That's how DBE was created. Now DBE expands from Texas to Florida. MGZ will release his mixtape entitled "Big Boss Man" this summer. The mixtape will be hosted by one of the top mixtape DJ's in the south, DJ Spinz from "Southern Swagger series". MGZ is the owner and player for his squad. He has been in high demand with his city. He represents East Augusta (the Bottom) to the fullest. MGZ Says" It time for a real nigga to represent this whole AUG movement. A lot of these cats out here talking shit that they never lived. I will never say that I'm a thug, I'm just a real ass nigga from the bottom whose tryin to make it to the top". Young Snappa's "Break it down" has already received high interest from Industry A&R's. CEO and founder Marcus"MGZ" Glenn and partners have also opened up a club in Augusta, GA- Club Palace. DBE is more than a record LABEL it is a movement.
