TRAVAIL

About Me

TRAVAIL has seen the cycle of the music world come full circle.Since it's conception during the hair band-dominated mid-1980's, Travail has always strove for a sound and style all their own. In a time when following trends was popular instead of doing something new and unique, the band followed one simple rule when writing songs: play from the heart.Travail's style, during this time of glam rock and speed metal, was more of a throwback to the '70s. While most of the music world was struggling with success with their next new style, Travail fell back on their roots of metal, country, and jazz, along with their influences of the early "guitar bands," to creative a distinct sound and style. In the almost twenty years since the birth of Travail, rock music has gone through many changes, including the meteoric rise and fall of grunge.Perhaps now the circle is complete. After many years of hibernation, the beast has awakened. Nearly two decades later, the time for screaming guitars, clean riffs, and thundering back beats has returned. The time for TRAVAIL is now.
