Misc. was a side project that consisted of Derek Schilling (Neglect, Arkham 13, Time Heals Nothing, The Guilty Party, Cleanser) on Guitar & Bass, & Pete McCoil (Motive, Unearthly Trance, Shallows of the Mundane, Jimmy smash, Arkham, Piece by Piece) on Drums.
These songs were made up during spare time from their current bands at the time (Cleanser & Motive) in 1998. We made up songs in Derek's Living Room, Pete's Bedroom, The Backroom at the P.W.A.C.. The plan was simple, fast, old school, thrashing hardcore.
Derek sent the songs out to different vocalsist we knew from bands Derek & Pete either knew or played shows with.

The music was recorded in only a few hours at the old A.R.T.I. studios in long island, which is now a florist shop...
All the vocalists got a copy of the songs...wrote lyrics...came to the studio and just threw the vocals down, no practice...nothing...just coming in there and just throwing it down...totally old school, raw, and in your face.
it was released in 1998 on the label Clean Recordings. Since then the label is no more and it is no longer in press. It went for $100 on ebay which is quite crazy. hopefully there can be a re-release with extra bonus misc. stuff in the future.
This is a cool CD. We had a killer time in the studio, a killer time making up the music...totally raw hardcore/thrash. It was a cool cd to do with a bunch of killer vocalists and totally cool of them to take time out of their own bands to throw down some vocals...It was cool to hear Tommy of Silent Majority, Daryl from Glassjaw & George from Mindovermatter sing over heavier music. It was killer that Rick re-wrote lyrics to one of the songs in his van at the last minute because the recorded version was different from the version we originally sent him... It was also killer form Jamey Jasta to do vocals over a song Derek wrote in 1992 together with his friend Marky D' who passed away in that same year, it is one of Derek's fave songs!
This CD also spawned off other bands: Derek did Arkham 13 with Dug, He also does The Guilty Party with Jaw, And both Derek & Pete recently started up Time Heals Nothing with Rick ta Life. Since this CD came out some of the bands are no more or went to other bands, some bands are now very popular, some bands have broken up and re-united...it's almost 10 years now since this came out....fuckin' crazy!!! check it out...Enjoy!
