My Intro
Born and raised in Oakland, attended Castlemont and then moved to L.A. where I graduated from Dorsey High school. From an early age I gravitated towards international
travel, even daydreaming in class of far away places while I sat in my classes at middle school and high school.
In my heart, I knew that one day I would be international and am thankful for the many countries I have visited, the various cultures I have experienced and even for the opportunity to have lived a few years in a third world country.
My Experience
The most full circle experience in my life was attending a "Free Nelson Mandela Rally" in Watts, 1967 and then in 2007 visiting Mandela's single man cell, once his home for 18 yrs at Robben Island Maximum Prison in South Africa.
Even though apartheid in South Africa was abolished as was slavery in the USA - black people are still judged by the color of their skin. When will it end?
My Passion & Enjoyment
As a travel professional for over 25 years; I take great pride in knowing worldwide destinations as well as top hotels first-hand and paying very close attention to details for my clients. One of my mottos: "If Kat won't lay her head there, you won't either".
Family is most important to me and I love mine dearly, including my extended family all over the world. My most rewarding experience was strolling the beach one morning in Negril and speaking into existence the description of the man of my dreams. One year later, our paths crossed, we were married on that same beach and now 7 yrs later we are still on our honeymoon. Living peacefully together with another Leo; some would say,"That's impossible"! but for us its a dream and as natural as breathing. It's like living with ourself only having someone else around to share life with.
Everyday, I give thanks for ALL things, no matter the situation. Everyday, I try to give something back to someone, somewhere....
