About Me

I got into playing music a good while ago, and she just won't quit on me..!! I love playing in bands, but I also love writing little songs, and singing quietly. About a year ago, i had a bit of spare time, and a few songs, so i took the battered old acoustic (spanish) guitar that my sister stole from her landlord in 1992, and i recorded six songs, in as long as it took me to play them. all mistakes and hiss left in. you can hear the tram's bell in the background, as they were recorded by my friend Isobel Clarke in her Openattic studio on Market street in Nottingham.All the songs are based on real life, but i've used artistic licence, with symbolism and imagery to add colour to the pictures.If you've got the patience to get past the most basic recordings, and the sound quality, you should feel the songs, like the characters they describe, living and breathing, thinking, drinking... trying to get by... Some of them may be trying to trick you into buying them a drink while they work out how to steal your bag.... Others just want to cuddle and caress you.....I hope you've got 15 mins one mild autumn afternoon, to lie back and take them in. xAndy Nov 2006
