Among the Departed was formed in October of 2006 by current and founding members Josh Ressler, Paul Arena, Kyle Hediger and Dave Worthington. The lineup was finally complete with the addition of Rob Jones on guitar in 2008. Among the Departed has become a force since its conception, constantly playing shows and working hard to gain a foothold in the local extreme music scene. The band prides itself to be composed of such diverse members with differences ranging from personal beliefs and ideals, to musical influences. This band isn't about whether one believes in god or not, or whether one is straight edge or not. Among the Departed will always remain five close friends playing the music they love. After recording a 2 song demo in early 2009, the band is now busy writing the most mature material to date. Among the Departed is working harder than ever to create the hardest, heaviest, most diverse sound possible while showcasing each member's musical abilities. The future looks bright for Among the Departed, already booking more shows than ever, striving to perform a killer show each night while playing the best music the band has written together.
