Sparkola

Sparkola formed in 2001 when Steve Powers launched a solo project and sought out Adam Buhler, co-owner of Castle von Buhler Records (ex-Splashdown), as producer. The pair hit it off creatively and in addition to forming an artist/producer relationship, Buhler picked up the bass and recruited hard-hitting drummer Jason Sakos (ex-Splashdown, Gladstones) to form Sparkola. The trio performed for the first time in 2002 to delighted Boston audiences. These days Buhler is off working with Anarchy Club, but the band hasn't missed a beat. The addition of guitar virtuoso Andrew Kuhn (Irresponsibles) and Jesse James on Bass finds Sparkola popping with a killer line-up and ready for the next phase.
