Singer/songwriter, been singing since the age of 8 at this time I was attending a performing arts school called Rosie Clarkes which consisted of singing, dance and drama. I originally had aspirations to be an actress, but it was at this arts school my singing voice was founded and pushed forward in the showcases that were put on. I began to write my own songs at the age of 13; recording them on my dads’ stereo with a little red mic he bought me (tee hee hee!). I have improved since then, vocally and a lot in terms of my writing skills. At present I’m just trying to create good music and get as much experience performing on stage as possible. I’m still in my development stage; “perfection is the art of success…” I have done various talent shows previously, as well as Vocal Zones, Burgess Park in 2005 and Broken Silence; i reguarly go to open mics such as SOUL LOUNGE (every other monday) and i recently performed at TALK OF THE TOWN. My style can not be defined in one word, its a mix, its a bit funky, got a bit of attitude, yet it can be sweet, (yerp i can get sentimental!) I do not limit myself to genres I love jumping on all types of songs as long as the beats good I will try and write something over it. At the moment i do take part in a lot of my writing, but also enjoy the output when creativity is combined by many minds, so dont be shy. lol. Anyhoo thats enough for now... Candice.
