DEATHRAGE IN SHORT
After playing together for a year in 2004, Merijn Groeneveld (guitars), Ruben Vermeulen (guitars) and Pieter Visman (drums) decided to stop their melodic death metal band and started a new project; Deathrage.
Together with vocalist Marcel Tjepkema and bassist Henri Frietema (Sidius) the guys started to write material. Soon, there grew three tight discriptions for the musical style of the band, which were FAST, RAW and BRUTAL.
At the end of 2005, Deathrage entered the Wings of Death studio in Harderwijk, owned by Peter Hagen from The Embodiment. A pounding, three tracks counting demo CD got recorded here, entitled SOULS OF THE LOST. As soon as it got realeased, great reactions were following; especially during performances!
At April 1st, Deathrage ended 2nd during the semi-finals of the Metal Battle 2006.
During the year of 2007, Deathrage did several gigs across the country. Performances on the Dutch Aaltjesrock festival and the Springstof festival were going superb, with great reactions - both from e-zines and audience - following. Even all demos and merchandising got sold out!
In the mean time the band is busy with preparations for a very first, 7 tracks counting full length album which will be released this year. A date will have to be set yet, so in the mean time Deathrage is ready to bang some heads on stage which you won't forget. Keep your attention for a new Metal blast!
