Kristian is a dj/producer based in Vancouver, Canada.Kristian started djing in 1998. Over the years, he has played many seminal nights in the Vancouver club scene, including Focus, Volume, Balance, Cheeky, and Overproof. For several years, he was a fixture at the infamous Passion parties at the Rowing Club. From 2005-2007, Kristian was a resident at Progressive Entertainment's "Focus", Vancouver's premier progressive house night, held at the treasured Lotus Sound Lounge in Vancouver, Canada. Every Friday, Focus played host to a dedicated legion of progressive house fans and featured such luminaries as Kasey Taylor, Paolo Mojo, Chris Fortier, Jimmy Van M, Luke Fair and Desyn Masiello. In the summer of 2008, he played at the inaugural Pemberton Music Festival, which featured such acts as Coldplay, Jay Z, Tom Petter, Dave Seaman, Mstrkrft, Deadmaus, Booka Shade, Crystal Method and others.A relentless sourcer of fresh music and unearthed gems, Kristian's sound incorporates the best elements of house, tech-house and progressive, spanning subtle, groovy basslines, cruisy hypnotic grooves, and peak-time progressive shakers, but always with an eye on keeping the dancefloor moving. He has shared the booth with the likes of Phil K, Luke Fair, Paranoid Jack, Chloe Harris, Habersham, Akio, Dale Anderson, Kevin Shiu, and John Morgan. Kristian's dj influences include Danny Tenaglia, Danny Howells, Sasha, Desyn Masiello and Terry Francis. He counts Echomen, Chab, Oliver Lieb, Asad Rizvi, and Seamus Haji as some of his favourite producers.His first release "Acid Rephlux" was released on Powerplant Music in October, 2007. Backed with a remix by the talented Kriece from Australia, it spent four weeks on the Balance promo chart, peaking at 16. Further productions are currently in the works.Kristian has put together many well received mixes over the years, including the "Morning, Noon, and Night" trilogy, with John Morgan and Kiki Stewardson (both of Powerplant), and "Stickiest", voted one of the best-ever mixes aired on Frisky Radio.
