The venue will launch into it's 9th year in February 2007 and is the second longest running venue in the L.A. area.Slc is a poetess, spoken word/recording artist, self-published author, writer, West African Dancer, daughter, sister, beautiful "Black" woman rising and "stair steppin", jewelry makin' single mom who spends all of her time "laughin', lovin' and livin' the words she writes". Featured on the compilation CD, Spreading Love-N-Spoken Word (birthed from the venue, slnsw), she is currently working on her solo CD project and her 4th and 5th poetry books.
