"The Flew" was formed 3 years ago in the summer of 2004 by Seth Mumy (guitars and vocals) and Bill Wasson (bass) under the name "The LunchBoxers". Mumy and Wasson, long time friends had come up with the idea for the band in the 4th grade but until their freshmen year of high school there was no band to be heard. Mumy and Wasson then set out to start writing music and get everything started. Shortly after Zach Ellis (drums) would join the band. After a year of rehearsing and writing the band was nearing their first show and first album, but disagreements and feuds lead the band members astray for months. Not long ago Mumy and Wasson decided to take action and leave their somewhat novelty past behind them and think about the future. To do this they knew they needed to change their long time name. After months of ideas "The Flew" emerged as the favorite. Shortly after Hank May (Guitar) then joined the trio. So here we are today, awaiting the first album from "The Flew" that is soon to come.
