Influenced by artists such as Tupac, Outkast, and Biggie, hip-hop has had a huge impact on his life. The fourth of five sons, The Truth is a product of an Italian-American family struggling to survive the streets of Miami. The grid-iron and writing pad were his sanction from the everyday struggles he’s faced. His experiences in life have led to a collection of truthful, eye-opening, and ingenious lyrics. Living a life surrounded by drugs, shootings, and incarcerations, The Truth has experienced struggles, which many rhyme about, but never truly experience. His music is a display of a man’s life rising out of much pain and struggle.Although faced with much negativity throughout his life, The Truth rose above all the hate and put his energy into creating his own record label, known as Tha Truth Records. Through perseverance and hard work, The Truth was able to get a distribution deal, market himself, and release his debut album entitled Street Eulogy on June 16, 2008. People from all walks of life can connect to the lyrics from each song. This album is filled with deep, heart-felt tracks as well as some fun and energized tracks. His single, Shawty Let’s Roll, featuring Casely has received much radio play including Power 96 (Miami), one of Countries top radio stations. This debut album was produced by Haz, the prominent producer from Hazardis Shoundz/Crazy Hood Production. Haz has worked with the likes of Triple C, Capone-n-Noreaga, and Cypress Hill.The Truth is no stranger to the stage. He has opened for artists such as Trick Daddy, Dirt Bag, Young gunz and Jacky O. Now, he books his own shows and has performed all over the country. The Truth has been featured in the songs of several of Miami’s underground artists, as well as with many nationally known artists such as Akon, N.O.R.E, Rick Ross’ Triple C, R&B sensation Casely, and mix tape king DJ EFN. The Truth is currently working on his second album, “currently untitledâ€.
