About Me

CROA’S MUSIC CONSTRUCTS NEW TERRITORIES, crossing borders, whilst rescuing the musical values of Bacia do Prata, which occupies 20% of the South American territory, including Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia. Latin sounds are the inspiration of CROA – Paraguayan polka, chamamé, guarânia, tango – fusing these together with jazz elements, resulting in an alternative style of sound; a more worldly, elegant and modern type of music. According to farmers of the Mato Grosso do Sul, CROA can be translated as “a piece of virgin forest”. The idea is to preserve the musical characteristics of the region, opening doors for contemporary influences. The instrumental trio is formed by Adriano Magoo (piano, keyboards, accordean), Marcelo Ribeiro (bass) and Sandro Moreno (drumms and percussion). On hearing CROA’s first track, Randy Brecker, a famous American musician, commented on CROA as being “…a trio with feet firmly planted in Brazil, but its arms involve the song of the whole world”. Randy Brecker has been working for more than 30 years with artists such as Chaka Khan, George Benson, Parliament-Funkadelics, Jaco Pastorius and Frank Zappa and said that “...each musician has the perfect mixture of technique and musicality. Excellent!” The trio has a parallel project to the instrumental one - Jerry & Croa, with Jerry Espíndola, singer and composer. They have worked beside Ney Mato Grosso, Paulinho Moska, and in the main houses of shows and theaters (Sesc Pompéia, Mistura Fina, BlénBlén, Centro Cultural Vergueiro, Crowne Plaza, Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (Rio de Janeiro), Teatro do Banco do Brasil (Federal District), Project Routes and Tendencies of the Itau Cultural. ............................................................ ..................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ A Bacia Platina ocupa 20% do território sul-americano e abrange Brasil, Argentina, Paraguai, Uruguai e Bolívia.
