Hey I’m Katie =]
I’ve tried re-writing an entire About Me section multiple times, but the right things never come out. I always try to upgrade or downgrade myself. So here’s my next best shot.
About Me? I love Reading, European Fashion, Taking Photographs, Audrey Hepburn Films, Shopping with my Mom, Going into the City, Jade Puget, Bonfires, Key Lime Pie, Gerber Daisies, Foreign Films, Italian Men, Red Bull, Writing Poems, Reasonably-Priced—yet Good-Quality Sushi, Anywhere in Italy, College Football, Defensive Backs in Spandex, and Making People Smile.
I’ve gone through a lot of changes in the last year, some for the good, some for the bad. My style and hair changes a lot. You'll find, that in almost all of my pictures, I'll make one of those kissy-pouty faces. It's habit. My favorite stores are Urban Outfitters, H&M, and Nordstroms. And okay, fine. I’m not one of those chicks that dyes their hair a different color every two weeks (One, that’s stupid. Two, your hair will eventually fall out—no matter how good it looks). But hey. I’ve got a streak in my hair, and on occasion I'll change where the side part falls. [Hardcore--I know.]
I’m old for my years, and I always have been. I’m a Junior in High School , but I’ve been ready for College since freshman year. I’ve already visited a few, and I know I’m ready. I don’t always connect with people my age, which is why I’m eager to leave. I think I've finally decided what I want to do. I'm planning on double majoring in Education in Social Studies, and Photography. I want to teach, and I would love to teach both subjects =] I’m also going to switch languages in college from Spanish to Italian, and plan on spending at least a semester in Italy during my Sophomore year.
Friends? I'm a loser. A BIG one. I love video games, I love to watch college football on the weekends, and I have a really lame laugh. People think I'm popular, but I think of myself of having a lot of aquaintances. I guess I know a lot of people, but so does everyone else in the world. The important part is who you trust. I'm always open and friendly, but trust is something I need proven to me. I’ve gone through so many best friends and arguments, that I prefer not having one sole best friend. There isn’t one person I tell everything to, but I do have a couple of friends that really understand who I am and what I'm going through. At first glance, I’ll seem like a complete ditz and high-matinence kind of girl. Yeah, I can admit. I AM high matinence. But that does not mean I need other people to take care of me. I just like good-quality things. And once you’re my friend, I’ll treat you like gold. I am ALWAYS there to talk to, and I can get overly protective. Not because I’m insecure of my friends, but because I feel like everyone deserves at least some level of respect. I also like to get my friends cheesy and lame gifts too, especially when I get to see their face when they open them.
Music? I love it all. As much as I like to say I don’t like country, I don’t hate it. Music is noise. Noise is sound. I can listen to anything in the background, but I prefer Alternative, Electronica, and Classical. Yeah I know that’s broad, but hey. We all love the same thing in the end. I enjoy bands like Saosin, AFI, Brand New, Blue October, and Circa Survive. They might not be the most mainstream, but I hold a deep respect and admiration for their lyrics and sound. On the other hand I love bands like 3OH!3, All Time Low, We the Kings, and MIA. One of my favorite things to do is fall asleep to Debussy, Beethoven, or Chopin. So I’m a little bit varied in my music tastes.
